Making less with p2pool because the bitcoin client crashes often. Will be looking into bitcoind that I keep hearing about.
I need to install linux. Making a custom build right now for bitcoin.

Enter Litecoin
So ran into Litecoin, read all about it. Their aim is to be to the Robin to Bitcoins Batman (And very soon this blog will be taken down because of that analogy). And they seem to me pretty damn on target. Why litecoin instead of all the other bitcoin clones. Perhaps because you can mine for litecoins without it interfereing with your bitcoin mining (as near as I can tell) because litecoin is mined with the CPU. So no competing for GPU power. So now my CPU has something to do while I am mining for bitcoin.
Quick start guide!
(1)go to litecoin.org and download the client.
(2)create and account here http://pool-x.eu/
(3)go here http://pool-x.eu/accountworkers and create a slave/worker
(4)then go download the miner here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=55038.0 it's cpuminer 2.1.1 and unzip it
(5)go to your cpuminer folder and create a bat file and insert this line
minerd.exe --url http://mine.pool-x.eu:8337 --userpass g2x3k.1:x --threads 2 -r -1
and save.
(6)Double click the bat file and watch your cpu go to town.

how to aquire bitcoin
Mining bitcoin is not for everyone unless you just have decent GPU hardware laying around not in use. Or maybe another scenario for you is, like me you are a gamer but you still want to tap into the bitcoin goodness.
Well you could always do it the old fashioned way. Trading, because with or without you bitcoin will be pumping into existence.
There are sites out there that help you trade goods and bid on goods with bitcoin or you can just buy them outright from exchanges like Trademill (no longer in service) or Mt.Gox.
Offering services. What are you good at? Web design? How many web designers do you know except bitcoin. Let me go out on a limb here and say none. Offering your skills in exchange for bitcoin could get eyes on you by the bitcoin community before looking elsewhere.
Give it a shot. Find something around the house that you'd probably want to get rid of at a garage sale and sell it online for bitcoin. Hell I'll list it here for free. Although my feelings wouldn't be hurt if you toss a bit of bitcoin my way by using this address

Worried that I'd screw you over? You're smart to think that way and I wont tell you to trust me. But here is the truth and you can accept it or not. All I care is people clicking on my ads and tipping me in BTC should they feel satisfied with my service but this is of course completely optional.

Bitcoin beginners guide

Welcome to my guide to earning Bitcoin. If you need a brief intro to Bitcoin read it here.
I am writing this because there is a lot of information out there and I want to get you through the clutter and get your feet wet asap.
You do this totally at your own risk and I’m not responsible for anything that might go wrong or any damages or loss of any kind. If you agree, please continue. Otherwise find another guide.
(1) you need the official bitcoin client which you can get here http://bitcoin.org/
Once it is installed, it will synchronize. It took me ALL DAMN DAY to do it so install and go play some BF3 or Skyrim or whatever you are playing.
While it is synchronizing I believe you can go ahead and start mining, although I did not try it, because if you look in your Recieve Bitcoin tab you already have an address.
You can solo mine but from what I have read it could take you up to two months to earn your prize of 50 bitcoins. I do not know this for myself. I personally have opted not to solo mine but to join a mining pool so that I may have a more frequent and steadier income of bitcoin.
(2)For solo or pool mining eitherway you will want to get this simple guiminer and install it.
(3)To mine with a pool you can join mine here by clicking on this location.
(4)Once you sign up you will need to click on your account and add your bitcoin address.
(5)Then click on the worker link and make up a worker username and password.
(6)Once you do this go to your GUIminer program and for server drop down to OTHER. For host type in eu.triplemining.com with port 8344. Where is says username and password put your worker username and password.
(7)Select your GPU and click start mining.
Will I now become rich? No but I will leave you with the fact that as of right this moment 1 Bitcoin is selling for $6.48.
One last thing. Get into it NOW because all though every time one block is decrypted and yields 50 bitcoins sometime this year it will drop down to only yeilding 25 per block.
Currently have my rig on turbo mode and placed in a cool location. Will update with results. But seriously dont wait for me, jump on this shit now.

My Wife was watching a show, The Good Wife, and they were talking about bitcoin. And I thought that was a very interesting concept. Turns out it's a real thing and I am VERY intrigued. And out of pure curiosity I am trying it out. Got my miner program set up and I've started my own pool. Why would I even consider this? Because I have to know, I just have to know.
